Greenfield HR Solutions is proud to partner with a grower-owned horticultural business based in the Glass House Mountains to recruit an experienced Business Manager.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and driving business growth across packing, distribution, and marketing functions.

Working closely with growers, suppliers, and key customers, the Business Manager will ensure product quality, profitability, and long-term sustainability. The business’s primary product line is avocados, with additional packing of lychees and the capability to diversify into other fruit lines and market channels.

Recent investment in packing infrastructure, including the installation of a new packing line, provides a strong platform for future growth. The role reports to the Board and works directly with the current Business Manager, creating an excellent opportunity for structured handover and succession.

This is a broad role combining commercial leadership, operational management, and administration, suited to someone who enjoys variety and responsibility in a seasonal agribusiness environment.

• Drive sales and oversee operational, financial, and administrative functions
• Develop and implement strategies to improve business performance and profitability
• Manage packing shed operations, logistics, and quality control
• Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, customers, and wholesalers
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Ensure compliance with WHS and relevant industry standards

• Proven experience in agribusiness, horticulture, or food production
• Minimum 3–5 years’ management experience
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• P&L management experience (highly regarded)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
